Our work

Museum Victoria

Megafun has undertaken work for Museum Victoria at both Melbourne Museum and Scienceworks for over 15 years.

Starting with lighting design and interactives in the the Australia Gallery at the new Carlton Garden’s campus, Museum Victoria subsequently commissioned Megafun to develop numerous exhibits and displays including the “Welcome Map” at the main entrance, “Water Smart Home” adjacent to their cafe, the “Mood Room” at Scienceworks and their interactive labeling system, “Panoramic Navigators” for their extraordinary WILD exhibition.

Smaller works include exhibits that compare a visitors weight to that of gold, an exploration of Melbourne’s sewers and water systems, supporting multimedia for the iconic Phar Lap, an interactive food display for Scienceworks and the illumination of a cabinet of bizarre and rarely seen marine creatures.

Over the years Megafun has played a significant role in many of the displays and engagements that make the Museum and Scienceworks such loved institutions.
